The Parvin State Park Appreciation Committee, Inc. is excited to announce participation in “America’s First Day Hike” on Sunday, January 1, 2017 at Parvin State Park!

Meet at the Main beach complex, 701 Almond Road (parking available in main parking lot across the street), beginning promptly at 1pm to experience the New Year outdoors and learn about the extensive history of Parvin State Park.

Dress appropriately for the weather to walk the flat trail for 2 miles along the Parvin Lake Trail to Second Landing and back again.  The walk will be led by the President of the Parvin State Park Appreciation Committee who is our designated “historian” of the Park.  Bring your own water and snacks, if desired, since the walk will take about an hour and a half to complete.

There are clean up possibilities in various areas. We need to have you tell us when you are able to come out and show your dedication and willingness to volunteer your talents to make a major difference in your community! This is a fabulous opportunity to work on those volunteer hours necessary for many resumes. Chat with your family, friends and groups you are involved with and make a plan to help get and keep a great Park ready for continued use!
